RED DEVON HOUSING LTD
Brook House & Overbrook
RED DEVON HOUSING LTD has been providing high quality sheltered and retirement accommodation for over 55 years. The company was founded in 1959 by a group of volunteers who were committed to providing non-profit making housing for older people.

Brook House in Dawlish was purchased and converted in 1961. Following the building of an extension some 15 years later there are now a total of 21 rooms with a communal, restaurant style dinning room and conservatory. There is a warden on-site for 8 hours a day during the week and 7 hours a day at weekends.
In 1984, on the other side of Dawlish Brook which runs through the grounds, Overbrook was constructed with 16 fully self-contained flats for those who do not require the facilities of Brook House. Although Overbrook is designed for retired people it is not classified as sheltered housing and there is no warden support on site.
Location
Brook House and Overbrook are located in beautiful grounds of over one acre with lawns running down the Dawlish Brook. Both properties are within walking distance of some local shops,a post office and the Parish Church. By walking through the Manor Gardens, next door, there is easy access to Dawlish Hospital and Barton Surgery together with the town centre, sea front, main bus stops and the Railway Station. Both premises provide parking for residents and visitors.
